Courtney + Joseph Ruder
A year ago, we had the pleasure of Stellabrating Courtney and Joseph as they become Mr. and Mrs., and we are so excited to wish them a Happy Anniversary (a day early)! We traveled to Oxford for this gorgeous wedding, full of love, laughter, and of course, a little bit of Ole Miss.
Courtney and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready in red and blue monogrammed shirts. Hair was done by Brandy Knowlin of Emma J Salon and make up was by Marti Mills. The girls looked stunning in dresses from Low's Bridal. Courtney shined in a beaded, trumpet style gown with a sweetheart neckline. Her bridesmaids accented perfectly in a navy dress with lace bodice and chiffon skirt, letting each girl pick a one-shoulder or strapless style. The navy dresses popped with the red rose bouquets from Fresh Cut.
The bridal party met on the University of Mississippi campus for pictures, captured by Taylor Square Photography. The ceremony took place at Paris Yates Chapel and guests were warmly welcomed by gorgeous red rose wreaths, a grand floral arrangement and floating candles at the altar by Fresh Cut. After the intimate ceremony, the newlyweds headed to the reception in a white Rolls Royce from Way Back In Time.
Upon arriving at Castle Hill Resort, guests were treated to a spectacular ice sculpture of Colonel Reb, by Premier Ice Sculpture, atop a bed of boiled shrimp and other southern staples such as chicken and waffles and smashed potatoes from the Catering at Castle Hill Resort. Fresh Cut provided reception florals and linens, which coordinated with the bride's red, blue, and gold color palate. Reception lighting was successfully executed by Apollo Event Lighting with custom texture, custom monogram, and spotlights .
The new Mr. and Mrs. Ruder shared their first dance before Colonel Reb made an appearance to dance the night away! The brides cake was nothing short of perfection, topped with a gold glitter Cinderella castle and a waterfall of red roses, and the groom's cake was an powder blue Ole Miss football helmet. Cakes were done by The Flour Garden in Memphis. Family and friends were treated to a late night snack of Krispy Kreme Donut Burgers and a photo booth set up by L3 Media.
As the night came to a close, guests snagged a favor of local honey and videographer Eric Ewing of EAE Productions finished capturing their special day as they exited to a sea of red and blue custom pom poms. Out of town guests had accommodations at The Graduate Oxford to continue celebrating the southern charm Oxford has to offer.
We loved helping this sweet couple last year and we wish Courtney and Joseph a Happy Anniversary Weekend and many more years of love, laughter, and Rebel victories! Check out a few of our favorite highlight from Taylor Square Photography.
