Ashleigh + Corey Hayes
We're super excited to celebrate this sweet couple's first anniversary a day early! Ashleigh and Corey tied the knot at the Mississippi Museum of Art with a beautiful outdoor fall ceremony followed by a indoor reception in the gallery. Ashleigh and Corey were a joy to work with and we loved all of the details this wedding had.
Ashleigh wore a beautiful, ruched, mermaid style dress and her bridesmaids had the perfect shade of plum that accented the white and plum calla lilies from Fresh Cut Floral. The flowers continued throughout the day with deep purples and oranges which complimented the beautiful garden space for the ceremony. Simple decor with candles and a cross, adorned with a floral spray, completed the ceremony site. One specific request from the couple was to have an "unplugged" ceremony, having all guests turn off their cell phones and cameras in order to be fully present. We loved that!
After the ceremony, the couple was whisked away for a quick bite and guests made their way into the museum gallery where they were greeted by a delicious food by Mississippi Museum of Art, perfect mood lighting from Apollo Event Lighting, and more gorgeous floral arrangements that brought the colors from the outside in. The newlyweds and their guests danced the night away with music from Southern Komfort Brass Band and enjoyed cake from Monkey Kisses in Hattiesburg.
One of our favorite parts of the night was how to couple did their leave as a "Second Line" - very New Orleans style! Fun umbrellas, personalized handkerchiefs, and masks made it a moment to remember! We had so much fun celebrating this sweet couple a year ago and Rachael H. Boyer Photography and Outland Videography made the recap so much fun! Check out some highlights below.
We wish Ashleigh and Corey a weekend full of "Stellabrating" their first year together!
