Nikki & Hunter Vaughn
This sweet couple is celebrating their first anniversary today! We decided to take a trip down memory lane, recapping Nikki and Hunter's wedding day.
These two tied the knot on a Friday evening in a small, intimate ceremony at The South in Jackson, followed by a reception capturing both of their personalities perfectly! The day was cold, but the excitement from the bride and groom quickly warmed up the room. The brides signature color, pink, was featured prominently through out the ceremony and reception. The bridesmaids dresses were the perfect color to make their flowers pop! The ceremony was separated by gorgeous ivory drapery in the main area of The South (where a reception would usually take place) due to the intimate number of guests. By doing this, Nikki, Hunter, and their guests experienced a much softer tone for their ceremony. The couple said "I Do" under an archway of roses, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
After the couple and the wedding party exited the ceremony, the couple snuck away for a quick bite to eat and the drapery behind the alter was pulled back to allow guests to enter the reception area through the floral arch way the couple had just been married under. Guests were greeted by Nikki's GORGEOUS pale pink and ivory cake, adorned with her new last name initial, a "V;" small, but beautiful details, that made this cake by Cakes by Iris a hit! Guests signed Nikki and Hunter's guest book, enjoyed appetizers, and made their way to the main buffet. The couple was introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn by one of our favorite DJ's, DJ-5150, and danced the night away! The grooms table was set up for the MSU fan Hunter is - complete with cookies, football helmets, school colors, wooden letters, and a delicious red velvet cake and cream cheese icing. The night ended with a hot chocolate bar (with all the fixings, of course!) to warm up. Guests grabbed a "sweet treat" of cookies with the couples new last initial and then lined up outside with sparklers to send the couple off!
We loved helping with Nikki and Hunters wedding day and wish them the best! Check out some of their highlights from Charlotte Stringer Photography.
